Chevy Powered Mustang???
Just when you thought the Mustang Wagon was the worst idea someone has come up with for the new generation Mustang, some fool decides to stick a Chevy LSX block into a 2006 Mustang. OK, so maybe it really isn't that bad, but come on, you can spend your money in so many better ways and keep the integrity of your car. Of course, if you own a tuning shop, this is a great way to draw attention to your business, weather it is good or bad. And, I know that there are hundreds of average Joes that have stuck 454s into vintage Mustangs. So really, this isn't something new. But to do it in a late model car with a late model motor takes quite a bit of brass in Area 51. So, I am stuck on the fence. Like or dislike? What are your thoughts?

Chevy Powered Mustang
The guys who built that badass 72 Nova are back with a new project.
They decided to annoy everyone with this one--dropping a Chevy LSX
block into a S197 Mustang. They bought a humble V6 pony from a local
dealership and have already started tearing it apart. Let the games begin.
Go to W2WPowertrain's 2006 Mustang ride page for a link to a video of
the first phase of the build, and be sure to leave a comment in their
guestbook.
Now, after looking at this, I also found a Chevy with a Mustang motor in it. Like it or not, this dude built one heck of a nice car.

Ford Powered Camaro
In keeping with the hybrid motif of my last post here is a horse of a
different color. A Chevrolet Camaro, seen by many as the ideal
expression of a ponycar, wearing a blue oval on its valve covers.
A bit of imformation about the engine from the owner’s website:
Ford Motorsport R302 Block, 2.83″ Sonny Bryant Billet Racing Crank, Carrillo Rods, JE Dished Pistons, Canton Dry Sump Oil Pan, Raceline 3 stage oil pump, CompCams Timing Gear & Chain, CompCams 35-306-8 Blower/Computer Cam (284/290-.533/.544-LC114), AFR185 Heads, 1.72 Roller Rockers, CompCams Solid Roller Lifters, Ported Lower GT40 Intake with Custom Upper Intake, Twin 55mm throttle bodies, Vortech Fuel rails, Holley 50# Injectors, Accel DFI GenVII Fuel Injection System.
(Yes, FORD!) I already had it! Was going into a ‘93 Mustang. Sold it for this ‘68 Camaro. Engine is worth to much to let it go. This ought to get the shit stirring. There is a benefit! I can move it back farther for better weight distribution.
Here is a link to the builder’s website: Ron’s 68 Camaro RS/x
