So it seems like everyone here has bought a new house in the last year or so. And my question is how do you like them and have you ran into any problems??

My house is a decent little house. I have ran into 2 issues with it and those include.. I don't get hot water in 3 faucets in the house due to line blockage with the galvanized piping. The other problem is one I just found 2 days ago, The house had flooded a year or two ago and well anyway I found mold in the basement walls. so now I have to gut the basement and kill all of it!! It really sucks but I guess thats just part of being a homeowner... Rolling Eyes

here is a pic of it...

My house is on a mountain surrounded by mountains.lol

And, I didn't buy my house. I am building a house. And if you guys think you have problems, try building a house.lol

Here it is a couple of months ago...

It looks much different now. I don't have any recent pictures though.

There have been many setbacks with building this house. I will never build again. I will always buy.

Thanks. I love Western North Carolina.

There is way to much work when you have to do most everything yourself.

Thanks. Yeah, I really like the proch also.

There is 2300 square feet on the top floor and 1000 square feet of living space on the bottom.

If you look at that first picture from the very left of the house to the french doors in the middle, all of that on the bottom floor is garage space. We did that instead of building a separate building because of the way the land is laid out. I have pictures of the inside, but it has nothing but building materials in it right now. Boring. When I get the Stang in there working on it again I will snap some photos.

owning a house is cool, we bought one off of a old lady so most of it needed to be updated...After spending the money I would have just bought a finnished one, easier and cheaper. Roof, furnace, rugs, then odds and ends, but it went up about 50 grand since we bought it, so thats cool.

Thanks guys, The electric bill is sick at times...I just leave the lights off till the wife bitches about them. That keeps the cost down.
If I had it to do over again, I buy a older house that was already updated. I work 6 days a week, two kids, l;ast thing I need to do is a house lol.

Yeah, it takes a lot of work to build/renovate/update a house. It's just so hard to find time. And if you do find time, it wears you out. Mad
